Bakti Siswa 2019 – Mahasiswa D’Hati Rakyat, conducted by the Student Representative Council of 2018/2019, will be taking place in Kampung Pachitan, Port Dickson from 11th-14th April 2018. It is the third installation of the Bakti Siswa series, and a tradition started by the Student Representative Council of 2016/2017 in Kampung Lahar, Kepala Batas, Pulau Pinang. Muhammad Amer Danial bin Rahmat, program director and president of the Student Representative Council of 2018/2019, describes Bakti Siswa 2019 as a volunteerism event for UNITEN students to immerse themselves in a rural kampong setting and adjust to the lifestyle of the locals, while contributing to their adopted families and the kampong as well.
This year’s Bakti Siswa involves the most participants yet, comprising 160 participants from both Putrajaya and Muadzam campuses of Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). NADi was able to observe decent feedback from the participants after they were involved in Bakti Siswa’s Training of Participants (TOP), which took place in the Leisure Hall from 6th-7th April 2019. Nur Syafiqah binti Mokhtar, one of the many participants, is feeling especially excited for Bakti Siswa 2019 after attending TOP, “I felt that the TOP was tedious and unnecessary at first, but I quickly turned around. I really enjoyed the activities and the bonding between the participants. I’m more excited now to meet my foster family and participate in the activities to come for Bakti Siswa.”
As loud, crackling fireworks cheer in the air,
As nakal little kiddies run around without care,
As rendang is served, with ketupat to go,
As masjids blast prayers, like a grand premier show,
As colours paint streets, sampings and all,
Baju kurungs and songkoks and glittery shawls,
As graves are visited, cherished ones you miss dearly,
As duit raya is given, waking up fresh and early,
As the Eid-ul Fitr spirit pumps in your veins,
As you’re with father and mother, no more academic pain.
Go RE, go SD, goodbye FYP,
Go Thermo, go capstone, stop kacau-ing me.
Or at least ’til the morrow ’cause exam season is near,
To fill up your senses with a polar opposite cheer,
So study you will, between platefuls of rendang,
And God knows, perhaps, Test 1 will be kacang?
But at least for today, come chill with your kin,
Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir dan Batin.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are creeping ever nearer, ever closer to the climax of this tiring week. That’s right, everyone! On the 15th June 2017 (AKA Thursday), it’s finally time for us to exercise our power as students of UNITEN and vote!
Now we know who to vote for, when to vote, and where to vote.
But do we know WHY should we vote?
Reason #1: Practicing a democratic process.
Voting is one way to uphold the state of democracy that exists in our country. As Malaysians (or any other citizen of a democratic country. Not looking at you, NK) we have our own general election to choose our leaders. But as students, are we prepared to take up that responsibility?
Hello all you wonderful people out there!
Little birdie told us we were recruiting? You heard correct! We, from Skuad Media UNITEN, EmCeeVengers and NADi, are on a mission to recruit brand new talents into joining our troops. So, if you’re into photography, writing, emceeing, designing and are interested in implementing those skills in the name of the greater good, oh boy, do we have the perfect opportunity for you!
Take a peek at the posters below (which, by the way, was designed by Skuad Media Uniten themselves!) to learn more about what we’re looking for. And, if you’re eager to get to know us even more, well, allow me to tell you!
3rd June 2017

We offer our deepest condolences to family and friends of Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain, a final year student of Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) who died at Hospital Serdang after being found burnt, bruised and beaten to death on June 1st 2017. Our collective hearts are heavy with sympathy and may Allah grant him Aljannat Firdaus.
We, from NADi, stand with family and friends of Zulfarhan Osman in this time of deep sorrow and pray that justice will be served. We urge all UNITEN students to cooperate in not making any baseless statements regarding this issue while the investigation is still being conducted.
PUTRAJAYA, 14th February – The orientation programme for February intake 2016/17 took place on 13th and 14th February 2017, with registration of new students took place on 11th to 13th February 2017. Both events happened at the UNITEN Administrative Building with approximately 100 students embracing their new journey in this university.
Yes, you’ve heard that right! We’re on the look for more writers again due to our website’s continuous expansion. All you have to do is to submit your news article or literary work to us at email@example.com to find out if you’re the one we’re looking for. (Don’t forget to fill up the google doc too!). You are only required to submit one entry per application in accordance to any of the themes as follows:
Midterm season is here and you might be in a panic, so in conjunction with the hectic season I thought it would be nice to share some tips on last minute studying. Keep in mind that these tips may not be applicable to everyone as people have their differences but generally, these are the most popular tips.
